La Chapelle-Montligeon. The Gîte au Jardin label awarded to Le Bourgis guest house
Le Bourgis received its 3 épis rating from Gîtes de France in November 2018 for its three rooms, set up in the outbuildings of the house said to have once been home to Marshal de Catinat.
Also members of Valeurs Parc, Nicolas Simonin and Jean-Philippe Lucas-Rubio wanted to share the 7,000 m² garden and their living, hands-on approach to the place. That focus led to earning the Gîte au Jardin label.
The article highlights the connection to the garden, the welcome in a quiet setting, and the care taken with meals prepared using produce from the kitchen garden and orchard.
