An immediate sense of wellbeing: this barn, built in 1891, has regained its full character after nine months of work carried out by local craftsmen using natural materials, in keeping with everything we love about traditional Perche buildings.
50m² entirely to yourselves: a rare level of comfort for a guest room, which is exactly why we call it a lodge. A space to settle in, breathe, or work in complete peace, whatever the moment calls for.
Here, two nights are enough to start your stay, unlike self-catering cottages which often require a full week's booking. It isn't just another gîte in the Perche: in fact it isn't a gîte at all — it's a space offering everything you'd expect from a guest room, but with great flexibility and a degree of independence: the space is reached directly from the car park, and there's also a comfortable ground-floor sleeping option.
We deliberately chose not to install a kitchen, only the means to reheat dishes (homemade preserves are available on site): this frees you from any obligation around the table d'hôtes and breakfast, the latter being available here only by advance order (at an extra charge). Everything you need will be prepared for you without any wait, if you'd like to enjoy it in the lodge.
Of course, you're also welcome to make use of the guest house and terrace.
Total quiet, in the heart of the Perche.
Large windows open onto the lush green garden.
Heated and air-conditioned, with oak flooring, La Grange can also host small groups of around 12 people — classes, artistic rehearsals, music, theatre, tai chi, yoga, dance, meditation… It's also where our Reiki sessions and trainings take place.
Available to rent by the day or half-day (classes, workshops, residencies): bookable directly online, or by getting in touch with any questions.
